Evaluation Criteria

All applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Compatibility with Existing Infrastructure: Only food businesses that do not require ventilation systems (e.g., exhaust fans) are eligible to apply. Applications from businesses that involve cooking or require such infrastructure will be rejected.
2. Business Expansion: The business must operate at least three (3) branches to be considered for evaluation.

The following criteria will be considered during the selection process:

Menu and Cuisine: The variety and relevance of menu options to the requirements of the University as indicated in the advert.

Quality of Food:  The taste, flavor, overall quality, and adherence to food safety standards. Shortlisted shops will be required to provide their items for food tasting by the selection committee.

Value for Money:  The pricing strategy, portion sizes, and the value offered in relation to the price.

Previous Experience: Experience in operating food establishments, especially in a similar setting.

Business Plan: Applicants must submit a comprehensive business plan outlining their strategic vision, marketing strategy, operational plans, financial projections, and growth potential. The business plan should demonstrate a clear understanding of the target market, competition, and a path to success.

Interested businesses are encouraged to carefully review these criteria and prepare their applications accordingly.
Other criteria that may be considered include experience of the business and number of branches.
